Jimmy Chance, played by Lucas Neff, became a father after a one night stand with a girl gave life to baby Hope. The girl, who was convicted of killing multiple boyfriends in the past, was executed when baby Hope was just 6 months old. Left with no choice, Jimmy faces the responsibility of raising Hope on his own. However, Jimmy’s family is to the rescue to help him raise Hope.

Raising Hope 2.22 “I Want My Baby Back, Baby Back, Baby Back” Review

Last week’s big reveal that Lucy was still alive was still fresh in the minds of fans of ‘Raising Hope‘ so when this episode started, what transpired afterwards would have been the foremost thing on their mind since that was the cliffhanger that ended the show. This episode was the season’s finale and most fans would say that they did not see what happened coming.

The very first scene gave the answer to the Lucy riddle as fans got to know what she came back for. They got to know how she survived the electric chair, what she’s been up two this past two years and what she came back for. She came back for Hope whom she still calls princess Beyonce.

‘Raising Hope’ has always had a huge line of stars making guest appearances. But the good thing is that their guest characters play a lot of reoccurring roles in the show. This single episode seemed to have set the record of the highest number of reoccurring guest characters making an appearance in one single episode. And there were characters that returned that appeared in just one episode. It was an incredible way of ending the season.

Now this is not to say that the episode was even funnier than previous episodes but it was a perfect way to commemorate the end of the second season of the show. And FOX has renewed it for another season so fans would get to see more of this family. It turned out that Lucy was killed this time around and Hope came back to the Chance family. Season 3 is billed to be one filled with excitement.
